Stuburt Comfort XP Golf Shoe Review

The Stuburt brand dates back over 150 years to 1860 when shoemaker Ralph Stubbs and his assistant Fredrick Burt formed Stubbs and Burt. Since that time Stuburt have been developing quality footwear including the first yachting shoe in 1928 and the first ice skating boots in 1946. Stuburt football boots were even worn by the winning England football team in 1966 World Cup.

Stuburt Golf Shoe Heritage

The Stuburt Pr Am shoe was first worn by Tony Jacklin in 1980 and more recently by Graeme McDowell when he won the 2010 US Open at Pebble Beach and by Darren Clarke when he won the 2011 Open at Royal St George's. Darren still uses Stuburt footwear and has developed his own signature range of shoes.

With such a distinguished history in shoe making the current range of Stuburt golf shoes are designed and made using the latest materials, innovations and technologies. The Stuburt Comfort XP shoes are no exception.

About the Stuburt Comfort XP's

If I was to use two adjectives to describe the Stuburt Comfort XP shoes they would be comfort and great value for money. The Comfort XP’s are available in four different colours, all black, all white, black and white and bomber (brown) and white. The two tone coloured shoes have a traditional understated saddle finish and are available from a size 7 all the way up to a size 12.

As well as being comfortable, great value for money the Comfort XP’s also come with a one year waterproof guarantee. The waterproofing is achieved using a combination of an action leather upper material and the dri-back waterproof membrane system.

One Year Waterproof Guarantee

The action leather upper material is essentially a combination/hybrid of leather and rubber using the advantages of both materials to achieve water resistance. The dri-back waterproof membrane system runs inside the shoe to ensure full water resistance.

Stuburt have developed load and release technology in the Comfort XP’s, this essentially translates to a smoother lift off through your golf swing with improved grip on your standing shoe.

Stuburt Cleats

The cleats in the Stuburt Comfort XP’s and all other Stuburt shoes have metal threads and when we sell Stuburt shoes at Cole Golf we always advise our customers to tighten and check their cleats before and after their round.

Stuburt shoes come with a small wrench to tighten and loosen the cleats and we recommend that you tighten them before playing your first round wearing them. Should you lose any of your cleats the Masters Black Widow Cleats - Metal Thread can be purchased for replacements. However, if you only lose one or two we can replace them for you without the expense of buying replacement cleats.

The Stuburt Comfort XP has lots of great features to improve comfort and water resistance. If you are looking for a quality waterproof golf shoe that is not multi coloured and you don’t want to break the bank then the Stuburt XP golf shoe is for you.
